Privacy Policy ProjectVIEW ESS

Mobile Applications — ProjectVIEW ESS

This section applies to the ProjectVIEW ESS mobile application
(“the App”) provided by DANAOS Projects Software Solutions for
use by employees of our enterprise customers.

1. Data we collect through the App

  • Account credentials: username and password you enter at sign-in.
    These are stored encrypted in iOS Secure Storage / Android Keystore on your device
    and transmitted over HTTPS to your employer’s ProjectVIEW backend solely to authenticate you.
  • Authentication token (JWT): issued by the backend, stored on device
    and sent with each API request.
  • Employee profile data: employee code, user code, name, and assigned projects.
  • Work-log entries: project, start/stop timestamps, and the precise GPS
    coordinates captured at the moment you start and stop a work session.
  • Absence requests: date range, absence type, and any comments you enter.

2. Location data

The App requests “While Using the App” location permission. GPS coordinates are
captured only at the moment you start or stop a work-log session, and only
to record where the session began or ended. The App does not track location in the background
or at any other time.

3. Biometric authentication

If you enable Face ID / Touch ID for sign-in, authentication is performed entirely on your
device by the operating system. No biometric data is transmitted to or stored by DANAOS or
your employer.

4. Where data is sent

All data described above is transmitted over HTTPS to the ProjectVIEW backend operated by
your employer (the data controller). DANAOS Projects Software Solutions acts as processor
on the employer’s behalf. We do not share your data with advertisers, analytics providers,
or data brokers, and the App contains no third-party tracking SDKs.

5. Retention

Work-log entries, absence requests, and profile data are retained by your employer in the
ProjectVIEW system in accordance with their internal HR retention policy and applicable
labour law. Locally cached data on the device is removed when you sign out or uninstall the App.

6. Your GDPR rights

As a data subject in the EU/EEA you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port,
or object to processing of your personal data. Direct such requests to your employer (the
