Remote Site Monitoring

Drones, specifically Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) like quadcopters, can provide full site awareness by feeding office users with images, videos, and geometric data. This allows for tracking construction processes and monitoring the actual progress of works. Drones/UAVs provide construction stakeholders with expansive, accurate, and precise spatial data.

Based on a Ground Control Point system, drones calibrate GPS coordinates and obtain geometric data that can be analysed within our ProjectVIEW software to provide insights into Actual vs. Budgeted Progress of works. The data captured during each flight is processed using specialized photogrammetry software to generate isometric contour lines, orthophotos, and 3D point clouds.

Furthermore, the interpretation of spatial data to derive lengths, areas, and volumes, and its further association with drawings and budgeted costs, allows quantity surveyors to compare ‘Estimated’ to ‘Actual’ values, thus enabling the identification of spatial deviations. DANAOS, in cooperation with DRONEPROS, provides products and services for surveying any construction project.

ProjectVIEW ERP v.12 will synchronize site data from drones, providing resource inspection and geometric calculations in real-time. This ensures better project management through reduced project timelines, accurate site inventories, improved communication, and enhanced safety
